What audiovisualize.com does, and does not do, with your data.

The short version

audiovisualize.com processes your audio on your device. The files you load, the sound from your microphone or a shared tab, and the videos you export are not uploaded to our servers. The one exception is Analyze song, an optional paid feature you start yourself, which sends a lower-quality copy of the song (see "Analyze song" below). You don't need an account for the free features. If you create one or buy something, we keep what's needed to run your account and your purchases.

Audio, images and exports

Audio files are read and decoded by your browser using the Web Audio API. They stay in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close or reload the tab, unless you use Analyze song.
Microphone and system audio are only accessed after you press the matching button and grant permission in your browser. The signal is analysed locally to draw the visuals; it isn't recorded unless you press Export video, and even then the recording is created and saved on your device.
Background images you add are drawn locally onto the canvas and are never uploaded.
Exported videos and PNG frames are generated in your browser and downloaded straight to your device.
Lyrics from a Suno link. If you paste a Suno link into the lyrics box, the link, and nothing else, is sent to our server, which asks Suno for the lyrics and title it shows publicly. We don't store the link or the lyrics we read from it.

Analyze song

Analyze song reads the singing in a song and times your lyrics to it. It runs only when you press it, you must be signed in, and it costs credits (the price is shown on the card before you press).

What is sent. Your browser makes a mono copy of the song at reduced quality (16 kHz) and uploads it, together with any lyrics you have typed or pasted. Your original file, your images and your videos are not sent.
Who handles it. The copy is held in our cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) only while the job runs. Our processing server fetches it through a private link that expires, and sends it to Cloudflare Workers AI, a speech-recognition service, to find when each word is sung. These providers handle the audio for us, to do this and nothing else. We don't use your song to train models, and we don't sell it or share it with anyone else.
How long. We delete the stored copy as soon as the job ends. If you close the page before it ends, we delete it the next time you use Analyze song, and in any case within 24 hours. Our processing server removes its temporary files when the job ends.
What we keep. A record of the job on your account: when it ran, its status, its credit cost and the timed lyrics it returned. Our processing server may keep a record of the job's result too. We keep these until you ask us to delete them (see "Your choices").

Accounts

Premium styles and 4K export need an account. For an account we store your email address, your name, your password in hashed form (or the sign-in provider you used), your session details including IP address and browser type, your credit balance and history, and a record of the Analyze song jobs you run. Support messages you send us are stored with your account.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment provider, such as Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of each order and subscription: the product, the amount, its status and the email used.

Analytics and logs

We count page views and tool usage, such as how many exports start and finish and which style and resolution they use, with self-hosted Umami. These counts never include your audio or file names. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs for security and to keep the service running. We don't sell personal data.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember settings such as your language and theme. We also store the referring site and campaign tags of your first visit for 30 days, to learn how people find us.

Your choices

You can ask us to send you, correct or delete your data by emailing support@audiovisualize.com. We may need to keep order records where the law requires it.

Children

audiovisualize.com is a general-audience tool. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
