The AudioVisualize stage renders at exactly the size you export, so picking the right Resolution before you press Export video is the whole job. Use this cheat sheet.
| Platform | Resolution setting | Format | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube (regular video) | 1080p · 1920×1080 | MP4 or WebM | YouTube accepts WebM directly. |
| YouTube Shorts | 9:16 · 1080×1920 | MP4 | Keep it under 3 minutes. |
| TikTok | 9:16 · 1080×1920 | MP4 | Keep key visuals out of the bottom fifth. |
| Instagram Reels | 9:16 · 1080×1920 | MP4 | Captions and buttons cover the bottom and right edges. |
| Instagram feed | 1:1 · 1080×1080 | MP4 | Square still gets the most screen space in the grid. |
| X (Twitter) | 1080p or 1:1 | MP4 | Square clips take up more of the timeline. |
| 1:1 · 1080×1080 | MP4 | Audiograms with captions perform best. | |
| Spotify Canvas | 9:16 · 1080×1920 | MP4 | 3–8 second loop; trim after export. |
| OBS / video editors | Any | WebM (Transparent) or Green screen | See How to Add an Audio Visualizer to OBS. |
Choose 1080p for anything people will watch full screen. Choose 720p if your computer struggles to keep the preview smooth, for live capture in OBS, or when file size matters more than sharpness. Recording happens in real time, so higher resolutions need a GPU that can keep up at 60 fps.
